Iran has diverse landscapes including deserts with impressive sand dunes such as the Dasht-e Kavir desert and the Rig Ylan desert. These deserts have sand dunes that can reach up to 300 and 150 meters in height, respectively, and are popular destinations for tourists and adventurers. However, visitors must take precautions and be prepared for the harsh desert environment, including extreme temperatures and limited water sources.
